Sarfo Duku, a spokesman for Asante Kotoko, says the team will make roster changes after an FA Cup-winning season under temporary coach Karim Zito.
After Prosper Narteh Ogum was fired in the closing stages of the campaign, Zito took over. He led the squad to a 1-0 victory over Golden Kick FC in the FA Cup final, guaranteeing Kotoko's tenth trophy in the competition and a return to continental football, even if the league crown was already out of reach by that point.
Because of the team's poor overall performance, club management thinks a new strategy is required. As they get ready for both domestic and continental responsibilities in the upcoming season, several players are expected to go.
"We will make financial plans for the African campaign. The team will shortly undergo adjustments. We will show the departure door to those who did not live up to our standards," Duku told reporters.
"Some players are going to quit the club in the coming days," he continued.
Kotoko visited the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday to give the FA Cup trophy to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the club's life patron.
