Salah Equals Henry’s Record with Fourth Premier League Golden Boot

Mohamed Salah has once again written his name into Premier League history, claiming the Golden Boot for a fourth time and equalling the record set by Arsenal great Thierry Henry. The Liverpool star reached the milestone on Sunday by scoring his 29th league goal of the season in a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace a goal that not only confirmed his position as the league’s top scorer but also helped Liverpool clinch their 20th English top-flight title, drawing level with Manchester United.

At 32, Salah continues to defy age and expectations. His latest accolade adds to Golden Boot wins in 2017/18, 2018/19, and 2021/22, solidifying his place among the Premier League’s most consistent and feared forwards. What makes this latest triumph even more remarkable is the level of competition. Newcastle’s Alexander Isak finished the season with 23 goals, while Erling Haaland, who had dominated the scoring charts in the previous two campaigns, ended with 22.

Salah’s contributions went far beyond just putting the ball in the net. He also provided 18 assists, demonstrating a complete attacking game that has evolved with time. His ability to create chances, link play, and remain a constant threat in the final third was a driving force behind Liverpool’s title-winning campaign. Unsurprisingly, his efforts were recognized with a clean sweep of individual honors, as he was named both the Football Writers’ and Professional Footballers’ Association Player of the Year.

Having recently signed a new two-year contract extension with Liverpool, Salah has the opportunity to surpass Henry’s record and set a new standard for goal-scoring excellence in the Premier League. With his hunger, fitness, and elite mentality still intact, few would bet against him doing just that.

From his debut season at Anfield to his current status as a club legend and league icon, Salah’s journey has been extraordinary. Matching Henry’s record places him in elite company — but the story isn’t over yet. The Egyptian King still has more historyy to make.
