Ruben Amorim is not happy about their 2-0 loss against West Ham United
After Ruben Amorim joined Manchester United in the summer, every pundit and United fan are expecting him to bring United back into the Premier league title race. It didn't went that way as they planned but it was rather like, the players don't have the mentality to play for the club.
A big club like Manchester United have lost it's pedigree for players to be interested in to join. They are performing so much great in Europe but in the domestic trophies,they are the worst big six side in the world including Tottenham Hotspurs.
After their 2-0 loss to west Ham United over the weekend, he came out to say that;
“When I see Man United being 16th in Premier League I feel embarrassed and it’s something hard to accept for me. For me, the biggest concern is that feeling that it’s ok. The biggest problem in our club because we are losing the feeling of we are amassive club, we need to feel it is the end of the world to lose a game at Old Trafford. I will not talk about culture but it’s a feeling and it’s the most dangerous feeling we have in a big club, the lack of urgency in everything we do. It’s big concern. Everybody is thinking about the final but no, we have bigger things to think about and have to change a lot of things at the end of the season, we must focus on that. It’s not about the players. I’m talking about myself and the culture in the club. We need to change that, need to be really strong in the summer and to be really brave. If the feeling is still here in the summer we should give space to different persons”.
Manchester United are in the Europa league final where they will face Tottenham Hotspurs. These two teams are the currently worst big teams in the world right now, with Manchester United sitting on 15th and Tottenham on 16th. Yet still, they are in the Uefa Europa League finals.
Who have ever thought if these two will be in the finals together but yet still, Ruben Amorim isn't happy with the performances and also not happy about their mentality to win big and crucial games. Their perch on the top has brought them down this time. They will have to wait and trust the process.
