See Other Gmail âBounced Emailâ Responses
If a sent Gmail email gets back with a response stating the message was âflagged as spamâ or âtemporarily rejected,â the issue is most probably the body of the email message itself. It may have text or URLs that Google regards as suspicious. It could also be the result of an email message that has too many recipients added in the CC or BCC address fields, which Gmail may consider as spam activity. To troubleshoot this issue, remove links to websites that recipients are required to share personal information. If the email is expected to be sent to numerous addresses, try sending it in smaller batches or creating an email group.
In the uncommon chance that a Gmail user gets back a bounce message that says, âRecipient server did not accept our requests,â thatâs most of the time is caused by an issue that only Gmail or the recipientâs email service provider will be able to find solution to fix. This rejection reply is generated when Gmail has challenge establishing a connection with the recipientâs email server. Gmail users who receive this message should try sending the email again at a later time, as the problem will usually resolve itself after a while. If sending the email again gets the same error, double-check and make sure that the recipientâs email address has not got typos, try sending the email to an alternate email address, or contact customer support of the recipientâs email service provider (or have the recipient contact them) for additional technical support.
Gmail bounce emails are very common and should not be something to always worry too much about. To ensure that the response is actually an email from Google and not a phishing message, cross-check the email source. Gmailâs official bounce email address is mailer-daemon@googlemail.com, with âMail Delivery Subsystemâ being the name of the name.
