"My new school "
I was sitting in the living room with my mom playing with my phone my dad burst in with a dance...
*my mom got up... and asked*
"Honey...?? what is it"
*my dad replied.. *
"join me and dance"
*she joined him and dancing singing praise.... moving around blocking the screen*
"oh typical Nigerian parents.."
*I just picked up my ear phone and plugged off my ears and played some music*
(15 minutes later)
My dad sat down.. my mom followed... they were both breathing heavily... the room felt hot..*when she said*
"Alex go and on the fan.."
*I got up and turned on the light then took my seat and asked*
"So Dad what's the good news... "
*He answered*
*well our company just gave me a construction project in Abuja that's is going to last for five years... *
my mom shouted*
"Jesus Honey that's not a good news... now your going away for Five... years"
...first I was shocked five years isn't a joke...
*when he answered*
we are all moving to Abuja my company provided accommodation for us a car so I can drive to work...
what the...what about me dad what about school
*I asked *
*he answered*
"well your going to a new school better than your old one"
"what ! oh no this is not happening.. SS3 first term just started,can't we just wait till am finished then we can all move to abuja "
*He answered *

"And besides what the he'll are you going to be building that is gonna take five years "

An estate.... look my decision is final... we are traveling next week am going to find a new school for you tomorrow so that's it...
*he said raising his voice*
seriously Dad.. you think its easy to just leave everything behind....
*I said angrily *
*my mom added*
honey it's not easy for him new school new life ..
*my dad said*
stop supporting him.....you are spoiling this boy

so you are now talking back at me huh.. don't worry I will send you to a boarding school.. Idiot
*he said yelling at me*
My mom yelled*
Alex shut up... don't you have respect for your father...
In anger I just got up and walked to my room.... I can't believe am going to a new school just because of some stupid job...
* I was so pissed I didn't even come down for dinner that night *
(The next day)
$ I got up went down stairs did my chores took my bath and put on some formal clothes ....then u came to the sitting room my dad was all dressed enjoying breakfast$

*I greeted *

*he answered plainly*
*I took my seat as my mom walks in... *

Good morning Alex... want some breakfast
*she said... *
no am not hungry
*she chuckled and said... *
"you don't want to eat abi you think I will beg you... when you come back hungry your food is in the kitchen..."
*my dad finished eating got up and said *
"let's go Alex we or will we be late"
*I got up and followed..... we got in his car... he drove off it was a three hour drive but we finally got there*I got out and look at the sign at the entrance... which said.... "Model girls secondary school"....
*in shock I asked *
"Dad this is a high school for girls"
"yeah they recently started taking application for boys too"
"Dad please am sorry I yelled please don't send me here"
*I said in fear*
Alex am not doing this cause I hate you cause I don't this school is one of the best in nthe school fees cost 150k per term they have good teacher's ,and nice facilities too.... your a smart boy and I want you to have the best education... the only reason I took this construction job is for you Alex with the money I can send you to further your education in UK....
"oh but do I have to go here"
"yes Alex it's just for one year"
ok then Dad...
"now man up smile let's get you enrolled "
we walked into the school there were girls tall short fair, dark..all in a short skirts.damn they look hot... wait what am I saying...
I turned away and hid my face till we got to the principals office..
