Otto Addo uncovers why he picked Ghana over Germany
Dark Stars lead trainer, Otto Addo has said he was sure about playing for Ghana regardless of being brought into the world in Germany.
Otto Addo changed ethnicity to Ghana and made his presentation in Black tars' 5-0 win over Eritrea in February 1999.
Addressing the BBC, he was considerably more acquainted with Ghana which made him sure about playing for the Black Stars.
"I was certain that I needed to play for Ghana, there was no question. I was going to Ghana each occasion for excursion. My mom sent me and my sister to Ghana and we remained there for five to about a month and a half, so I was at that point substantially more open to finding individuals I actually have a ton of companions there...family."
That's what otto added, he attempted to adjust regardless of diving more deeply into the Ghanaian culture.
"However, definitely, it's different when you play. The intensity, the nature of the pitches, everything is unique. It was difficult to adjust particularly with the game you referenced, following 10 minutes I was attempting to get breath since it was hot and I was running with a similar force I use to run in Europe and it was very surprising. So I expected to adjust."
Otto Addo made a sum of 15 appearances for Black Stars. He played in the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
He was the first Ghanaian conceived abroad to include for the Black Stars at the World Cup.
