Cancel strike to stay away from 'danger from any of the gatherings' - Labor Commission to striking instructors
The Executive Secretary of the National Labor Commission (NLC), has encouraged the four striking pre-tertiary instructor associations to get back to the study hall as they haggle with the public authority for their interest.
Ofosu Asamoah said that instructor associations canceling their strike will keep different partners from giving dangers and will assist with cultivating conversations on the necessities of the educators.
"Canceling the strike is for evasion of danger from any of the gatherings... It will manage the cost of the other arranging party to arrange and to show up at settlement which is adequate for the two players.
"In this way, it is in light of a legitimate concern for the educator associations to cancel the strike and arrange," asaaseradio.com reports.
The Ghana National Association of Teachers, National Association of Graduate Teachers, Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana and the Teachers and Educational Workers Union started a cross country strike activity on Monday, June 4, 2022.
The strike, as indicated by the initiative of the educator associations, is a consequence of the disappointment of the public authority to fulfill their need for a 20% Cost of Living Allowance.
The public authority has demanded that the instructors should get back to the homeroom before the dealings start. Be that as it may, the educators have would not stick to the request of the public authority. They even left a gathering between the public authority and the different specialists association in the country on the grounds that the public authority demanded they needed to cancel the strike to be important for the exchange.
