Man City secure Rodri to 2027 with new arrangement
Manchester City's Spanish global midfielder Rodri has marked another agreement with the Premier League champions which will keep him attached to the club until 2027.
The long term augmentation follows City getting England midfielder Kalvin Phillips into the focal point of midfield to supplant veteran Fernandinho who left the club.
The 26-year-old Rodri joined City in 2019 from Atletico Madrid in an arrangement worth around 50 million pounds ($59.15 million) and has brought home two Premier League championships.
"We have been extremely effective since I came here, which is something that makes me exceptionally glad. Yet, frankly, that achievement has made me much more ravenous. When you begin bringing home large championships, you would rather not stop," he told the club's site.
