Reader-Writer
It had always been a delight to read,
Gliding in and out of different worlds,
And the complete engrossment in a universe
Only she knew existed,
But writing was a nightmare!
Not because she didn’t want to,
Not because she hated it,
But because it was a dream
That would demand more from her,
One that would awaken her inner battles
And force her to face her demons;
The inconsistencies, complacencies, procrastination,
Like being thrust in a ring with a nemesis
That would require years of training to defeat,
Yet she knew conquering these looming monsters
Would mean much more to her
Than she could ever imagine,
A reader-writer,
One with mastery in this game of intellect and heart,
Equipped with the power of completeness and wholeness
Like two sides of a coin,
One side complimenting the other,
So it was time to make that dream a reality,
To fight that good fight,
And soar above the clouds in diverse dimensions
Yet to be discovered.
