Previous Bayern Munich safeguard Sammy Kuffour says he can hardly trust that the club will finish the marking of Liverpool forward Sadio Mane in this late spring move window.

The Bundesliga champions have previously had two offers dismissed for the 30-year-old, who drove Senegal to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon by beating Egypt on punishments in the last.

The Merseyside club have set a £42m sticker price on the wantaway forward which Bayern missed the mark regarding when they a postponed a bid worth £30m this week.

"I would be more than happy to have him in a Bayern Munich shirt since he is so unique," Kuffour said as cited by Goal.com

"Assuming you see the manner in which he plays his football, he can likewise adjust to the German association since when you play in the Premier League, you can adjust all over. Thus, I am supplicating and crossing my fingers that Bayern Munich will get him," he added.
