Cech to leave job as Chelsea's specialized consultant

 

Previous Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will step down from his job as specialized and execution counsel toward the finish of June, the Premier League club said on Monday, the most recent staff part to leave Stamford Bridge following the takeover drove by Todd Boehly.

 

Cech, who was designated to the job in 2019 following his retirement, burned through 11 years at Chelsea between 2004-15 and won 13 significant prizes, including four Premier League titles and the Champions League.

"It has been an immense honor to play out this job at Chelsea for the beyond three years. With the club under new proprietorship, I feel this moment is the perfect open door for me to move to one side," Cech said in an explanation.

 

A gathering drove by Boehly and Clearlake Capital gained Chelsea in May after previous proprietor Roman Abramovich put the club available to be purchased following Russia's attack of Ukraine, which Russia calls a 'unique activity'.

 

"Petr is a significant individual from the Chelsea family," Boehly said. "We comprehend his choice to step away and say thanks to him for his commitments as a counselor and his obligation to the club and to our local area. We hope everything works out for him."
