“It’s been quite a ride!” – Mo Salah leads emotional dedications to Sadio Mane in Liverpool

Mohamed Salah is among the players who have paid tribute to Sadio Mane, who is leaving Liverpool after a legendary six-year stint.

Mane has officially moved from Liverpool to Bayern Munich following a lengthy transfer in which the two clubs agreed to a deal worth up to £35.1 million.

It's a sad day at Anfield, as the No. 10 has been invaluable in the six years since his arrival from Southampton in 2016.

Jurgen Klopp called Sadio Mane "one of Liverpool's greatest ever players," adding that "Sadio made it all possible."

Supporters have also admired him, with the general consensus being that he scored 120 goals, laid on 48 assists and won six trophies, He has established himself as a club legend.

Salah has now joined the chorus of praise for his long-term attacking partner, taking to Twitter to congratulate Mane on his departure from Merseyside:

It's been a wild ride! Thank you for all of the good times, and best wishes on your new adventure! You will be missed by everyone.

"It's been quite a ride!" wrote the Egyptian.

"Thank you for all of the good times, and best wishes on your new adventure!"

"You will be missed by everyone."

It contradicts the portrayal of Salah and Mane as attack contenders rather than teammates, with their shared determination sparking accusations of a strained relationship at times.

Salah was not the only Liverpool player to pay tribute to the 30-year-old, with Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk, and Kostas Tsimikas posting on Instagram:

Mane bids a fond farewell rather than a bitter one, having given everything in his six seasons at Anfield – and, in his words, achieving everything.

He has joined Bayern for a "new challenge" after winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.

In his exit interview with LFCTV, he revealed that he had already said his goodbyes to his teammates in a "long text."

“I sent a long text to say goodbye to everybody, which is normal,” he said.

“They were sad, as I was, but it is part of life. We just have to accept it.” as I was, but it is part of life. We just have to accept it.”
