For Barcelona, Xavi has prioritized the acquisition of two players

Following the assembly vote last week to activate the 'economic levers,' Barcelona anticipates a significant infusion of funds into the club, allowing them to compete in the transfer market on an equal footing with their rivals.

The Blaugrana should have enough money to pursue their desired targets while also having enough salary margin to sign the incoming players.

According to Diario AS, after the assembly vote, Barcelona president Joan Laporta personally called manager Xavi Hernandez to inform him of the outcome.

According to reports, Xavi and Laporta then discussed the transfer targets that the manager wants to bring in this summer.

According to the report  the 42-year-old tactician He informed the president that he prioritizes two players. The Barcelona manager wants the club to sign Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski and Sevilla defender Jules Kounde as soon as possible.

For weeks, Lewandowski has been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou. The Blaugrana already have a contract with the 33-year-old striker, but Bayern Munich is playing hardball and refusing to let go of their star striker.

However, now that Barcelona is expected to have the necessary funds, reports suggest that a €50 million offer for the Polish international is in the works.

In terms of Kounde, Xavi has identified him as the main defensive target, with a reduced role in mind for Gerard Pique this season. The 23-year-old Frenchman is worth €80 million, but Barça hopes to reduce the price by offering a player in exchange.

Sergino Dest is being touted as the most likely makeweight, with the report indicating that Xavi's good relationship with Fernando Navarro, Sevilla director Monchi's second in command, could help the Catalans secure the signing.

Xavi is said to have told Laporta that he wants Lewandowski and Kounde on board for Barcelona's pre-season tour to the United States of America in mid-July. Whether the club is capable of delivering the two signings by then remains to be seen.
