But at some particular point Berekum Arsenal were relegated and life in the division one league of Ghana football became really difficult for them. Their founder and owner and a Ghanaian football veteran Alhaji Yakubu Moro also passed away. This particular one really deepened their woes. And unfortunately they slipped into division 2 some two seasons ago when Bofoakwa Tano qualified into the Ghana Premier League. It looked like that was the ended of the club but some believed in it their first season in the division 2 didn't really go well but the second one had a momentum that many saw to be very unstoppable, one that you dare not play against in the middle league. On the 21st of June 2025 Berekum Arsenal beat Bectero FC by 2 goals to nothing at the Golden city back to return to division after 2 years.
