It was a surprise for many when the announcement of departure was made by the club on Thursday evening. All they said was that the players leaves the club after expiration of his contract. Michael Kyei Dwamena who joined some few seasons ago came to the end of his contract and both sides didn't really get to the negotiation table to get another deal for the young midfielder to Asante Kotoko Sporting club for another season. He leaves with a Kotoko career that was up and down filled with injuries and sometimes fit but didn't make the starting eleven all due to the fact that he wasn't cut for the game plan and that many also thought he was a coaches boy.

After Group A delivered its share of upsets yesterday, the spotlight shifted to Group B, where Asanska FC faced off against Tema United in the opening clash of the day. Asanska, buoyed by their Match Day 1 victory, started brightly and seized the lead in the 37th minute through a stunning free-kick from Arnold Adu-Boahene.

However, disaster struck just before the half-time whistle when a defensive lapse saw Asanska's goalkeeper fail to control a back pass from teammate Shaibu Seidu, gifting Tema United an equalizer in the 47th minute. Despite both sides showing attacking intent in the second half, resolute defending at both ends ensured the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate — a fair result in a tightly contested encounter.The second fixture featured A5 Rences FC locking horns with John Paintsil FA in what turned out to be a fiery and fiercely competitive game. With a vibrant crowd and perfect footballing conditions, both sides showed a clear intent to secure all three points in order to solidify their positions on the table.  Doing it for the masses with no particular aim of misinforming, be with us through this part and you'd get more from us.
