Jonah Attuquaye, a seasoned winger in the Ghana Premier League, is now in Accra finishing up his medical exam in preparation for his impending transfer to Hearts of Oak.

If nothing changes at the last minute, the former Legon Cities and Berekum Chelsea forward should sign a contract with the Phobians later today.

The 26-year-old wide player, who has made a name for himself as a reliable performer in the domestic league, offers the Accra-based team invaluable top-flight experience. It is believed that Attuquaye's speed and technical skill will be important advantages that will increase the Phobians' offensive possibilities in the forthcoming season.

Since naming the winger as a transfer target earlier this month, club officials have been attempting to finalize the deal.

His arrival is a part of Hearts' larger team rebuilding efforts as they get ready to contend for a championship the following season.

The club will likely make an official announcement soon when the medical evaluation is complete. As they continue to assemble their team throughout the current transfer window, the signing would be Hearts' most recent acquisition.

He said, "You now take your well-earned place at the top rung of Ghanaian football because of your dedication, perseverance, and quality on the field." "We extend a warm greeting and implore you to continue being genuine representatives of order, professionalism, and fair play."

The GFA President spoke to the relegated clubs, expressing words of support and encouragement while also acknowledging the accomplishments of the promoted teams. He underlined that relegation should be seen as a chance for development, rejuvenation, and eventual success rather than as a defeat.

He declared, "Relegation is not an end, it is an opportunity to rebuild, to reflect, and to return stronger," reaffirming the GFA's steadfast support for teams at all levels of the football ecosystem.

As he looked back on the season, President Simeon-Okraku noted significant advancements in officiating, matchday management, and play quality. He credited strategic initiatives in referee training, technical improvement, and cooperative interaction with club management for these gains.

He said, "We have made significant progress in making the Division One League really competitive."

He underlined that the solid collaboration with Access Bank, the league's title sponsor, has been a key component of its development. The President recognized the bank's continuous investment in marketing campaigns, grassroots talent identification, and club capacity building, all of which have raised the Division One League's bar.

"Access Bank's steadfast dedication has sparked development and change. We are working together to strengthen Ghanaian football's basis.

Additionally, he expressed gratitude to the Regional Football Associations, technical teams, commissioners, match officials, and all other stakeholders whose unwavering efforts contributed to the success of the season in all three zones.

The GFA restated its commitment to increasing investment, developing opportunities, and implementing reforms to improve the Division One League's competitiveness and commercial appeal as it looks to the 2025–2026 season.

The President concluded by expressing profound appreciation to the players, coaches, club owners, and supporters whose unwavering enthusiasm keeps football in Ghana growing.

"Thank you to everyone who helps make our game possible. Your enthusiasm is what fuels our football aspirations. I hope the lovely game keeps growing throughout Ghana.
