Following his team's 2-1 victory over Golden Kicks in the MTN FA Cup final, Asante Kotoko captain Frederick Asare is relishing the moment, but he is already planning for the future.

Asare was thrilled to win his first championship with the team, even if he did not play in the match.

Asare declared, "I have never won a trophy for Kotoko before." "This is a remarkable day because it has been six years since we last won the FA Cup." The Porcupine Warriors' eight-year quest for the MTN FA Cup came to an end with the victory, marking a momentous milestone.

Asare thanked the team's devoted followers and alluded to future triumphs. His words were, "We are grateful to our supporters for arriving. In the upcoming years, we intend to do something even more unique for them."

Kotoko solidifies their position as one of Ghana's most prosperous clubs with their tenth FA Cup victory.

With their most recent victory, the squad has cemented their status as the second most successful club in the history of the competition.

The porcupines will now concentrate on strengthening the squad to participate in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Kim Lars Bjorkegren, coach of the Black Queens, announces the pre-WAFCON provisional team.

The Black Queens coach, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, has named a roster of 24 players for the last round of training leading up to the Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next month.

Along with the usual invitees, the Swedish trainer added four players from home to his team.

The players from the Malta Guinness Women's League include Kerrie McCarthy of Kumasi Academy, Comfort Yeboah and Nancy Amoh of Ampem Darkoa, and former Black Princesses goalie Afi Amenyeku.

Leading stars Princella Adubea, Evelyn Badu, Grace Asantewaa, Anasthesia Achiaa, Portia Boakye, and Doris Boaduwaa (Ghana's women's player of the year) are also on the team.

The squad will start getting ready right away for their seventh-year comeback to the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

After only winning one of the six games played, coach Bjorkegren has had difficulty persuading Ghanaians, and thus, he is under pressure to perform well at the competition.

Ghana drew and lost to Ivory Coast in Abidjan during the last round of friendlies earlier this month.

Next month, the Black Queens will go to Morocco to play in Group C of the WAFCON against South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali.
