🚨JUST IN: Yemen’s Houthis Urge Arab and Muslim Nations to Back Iran in War Against Israel

In a significant escalation of regional tensions, Yemen’s Houthi movement has issued a bold call for Arab and Muslim countries to support Iran in its ongoing conflict with Israel. The statement, released on Saturday, marks the latest development in a growing regional alignment that threatens to further destabilize the Middle East.

The Iran-backed Houthis, who control large swathes of northern Yemen including the capital Sanaa, have long positioned themselves as part of the "Axis of Resistance" — a coalition of Iranian allies across the region that includes Hezbollah in Lebanon and various militias in Syria and Iraq. Now, with Iran and Israel edging closer to direct confrontation, the Houthis are openly urging broader Islamic solidarity with Tehran.

Houthi Statement Calls for “Unified Muslim Response”

In their statement, Houthi leaders framed the conflict as part of a broader struggle between what they described as "the forces of oppression" and the Islamic world. They called on Arab League members, Muslim governments, and populations across the Islamic world to take a unified stance and support Iran “in defending Palestine and the dignity of the Muslim Ummah.”

The Houthis also hinted at their own willingness to escalate military action in solidarity with Iran. Since late 2023, the group has targeted Israeli-linked ships in the Red Sea and launched missile and drone attacks toward Israel — most of which have been intercepted by U.S. and Israeli defense systems.

Regional Tensions Continue to Rise

This latest statement comes at a time when regional powers are already on edge. Iran and Israel have exchanged multiple direct and indirect strikes in recent months, raising concerns of a broader Middle East war. The Houthi appeal could add pressure on neighboring countries, many of which are attempting to balance ties with Western allies and regional powers like Iran.

As the situation unfolds, global and regional leaders are calling for restraint, but the Houthis’ rhetoric suggests further regional polarization may be inevitable.
