So, Liverpool is currently working on finalizing a deal for Milos Kerkez, the left-back from Bournemouth. But here's the catch: the Cherries are holding out for a hefty £45 million ($61 million) for him. Negotiations are still ongoing, and it looks like they might be getting somewhere—especially after Kerkez recently shared his thoughts on his future.
As of now, the Reds haven’t put in an official bid, but they’re gearing up to do so once they feel confident they can strike a deal. There’s a growing sense of optimism that he’ll end up at Liverpool, though a compromise on that fee is definitely needed. Manager Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes have zeroed in on Kerkez as their main target to strengthen the squad this summer. Interestingly, Hughes was the one who brought him to Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar last year, so there’s a bit of history there. At just 21, Kerkez really made a name for himself last season.

The player is keen on making the switch, and personal terms shouldn't be a hassle if both clubs can settle on a price. However, the Cherries are reluctant to sell below what they think he’s worth, especially after losing Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid. Plus, they’re bracing for a possible offer from Paris Saint-Germain for center-back Ilya Zabarnyi. According to FootMercato, they’ve already got their eyes on a replacement for Kerkez.
Rumor has it that Stade Rennais’ Adrien Truffert is their top pick to fill that gap. He played 33 matches last season, helping Rennais secure a mid-table finish in Ligue 1. Bournemouth is also prepping a better offer for this 23-year-old French talent since their first bid didn’t cut it. If that goes through, it could clear the way for Kerkez to head to Liverpool.

Speaking of Liverpool, they’ve been pretty busy in the transfer market. They’ve already signed versatile right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen for £29 million ($39.3 million). Plus, they’re in talks with the Bundesliga side about German midfielder Florian Wirtz, which could turn out to be a record-breaking transfer at £109M ($147.8M).
The Reds are looking to boost their attacking lineup with another addition, but there are also rumors of some players leaving. One player who seems safe, though, is Luis Diaz. Despite all the chatter about his future, Liverpool hasn’t received any inquiries about the Colombian international. Diaz, who has two years left on his contract, scored 17 goals last season, helping Liverpool snag the Premier League title. He’s definitely a key player for Arne Slot's plans. But as of now, there’s no talk of starting contract negotiations with him. Just a bit of a wait-and-see situation, I guess!
