After 16 years of absence in GPL the swedru sports stadium would see top flight football again. Another thing that many do not say is how they lost their coach in the early part of the season and still did well to keep the engine moving. They brought in Prince koffie to come take over things, he didn't fail them and has lead them to fulfill their dream. Many thought Rospak sporting club would be a worry to them but it killed of in their last home game against New Edubiasie at home. The Central Region would have a team playing in the GPL after a while, they lost Dwarfs and Sharks some few seasons ago. 
Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare: l am grateful to God, our supporters and all Ghanaians for their support. It is not easy for a local player to be getting an invite to the Black Stars, and every match is a tough one for us, so we are always ready when we get a call-up. We have to motivate ourselves up and prepare ourselves because anything can happen at any time, and since we have received a call-up, we have to be able to represent and do well so Ghanaians will be proud of what we do for them.
