With everyone expecting Ampem Darkoa ladies to have an easy ride over the Police Ladies, that wasn't the case. The match ended 2 goals to nothing in favour of the southern zone side. The police ladies for the first time in their history have won the women's premier League. Even though Ampem Darkoa ladies dominated most part of the game, they failed to make good use of their chances. The pitch also didn't really help the football to move due to the rains that had come down. In the very early stages of the game Ampem Darkoa even had a goal but was ruled out for an offside. Then in the 28th minute Jane Ayieyam connected to a close free kick to send the police ladies into the lead at the Legon stadium. This sent the game into half time with the service ladies with the lead into the looker rooms. After recess nothing really changed in the game it was still the same and the support for Police Ladies kept on getting louder and louder until the finished the game through Victoria Teye williams in the 89th minute of the game. With the support of the Inspector General Of Police And CID who were all present at the stadium, they managed to make history for themselves. From us here in zone 4 we say a big congratulations to them.
