Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has spoken ahead of their game ahead Dreams FC on Sunday. The head coach in a pre match interview with the club's media team has said some few things that we would love to share with you.
He re iterated that the club is still focused on getting the double, which is the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA cup. They beat Berekum Chelsea to get into the final last Sunday in Tarkwa by a beautiful header goal from Albert Amoah.
He also expressed his joy on the return of the injury Lord Amoah who is back from a long injury that he sustained at the beginning of the second round. He played in the friendly the club played some days ago.
He added that the players are responding well to the drills that are being given to them in the training grounds. They've been working hard on their finishing to help them take advantage of all the chances they create. If not all, at least majority of them in the game.
He would be playing against a team he knows well, and because of that all eyes would be on him as the game goes on. A win puts the league dream in motion as the next game would be against Bibiani Goldstars.
Despite the fact that players and their agents from Ghana and beyond have expressed great interest in playing for Kotoko on a daily basis, I can tell our supporters that the club will not buy and transfer players in bulk, come next season.
This act is clearly detrimental to the club's future, and both parties, namely management and the technical team, have agreed that it will occur. "Certainly, there will be one or two additions, but they won't be numerous, as has been the case in recent seasons." He further added that their target of winning a double remains unchanged. Our goal of winning the double remains intact, and that is our primary focus right.
