Mohamed Salah: There was tension between me and Sadio Mane
Liverpool star and legend, Mohamed Salah has come out to talk about how his relationship with his former teammate, Sadio Mane wasn't what people expected. Mane joined Liverpool back in 2016 before Salah joined in 2017.
Jurgen Klopp needed to fix some issues between the Senegalese and the Egyptian. People were discussing and making headlines about how Salah is being selfish and couldn't provide assist to Mane.
"I scored a lot, 44 goals in my first season, and then Sadio told himself it was his turn to score more too. Yes, there was tension with Sadio. But look, we remained professional until the end, and I don't think it affected the team. It's natural for someone to want more, and I understand that he's a competitor. Off the pitch, we weren't very close, but we always respected each other. As for the comments about me being selfish? I don't care. People have the right to think what they want that's their business. But I invite everyone to notice that the player who provided the most assists to Mane was me which was 18 assists. People can look at the facts, but clearly, it's easier to throw out statements like that they make big headlines."
These words from Mohamed Salah has come out for all fans over the world that, Mane was somehow not happy about Salah being the main man of the team and it has caused alot of issues.
There was a match where Jurgen Klopp needed to bring Mane out due to he complaining about Salah not giving passes to him to score goals like Salah did the previous season where he gave him the assists. Sadio Mane went on to leave the club to join Batern Munich and over, he had issues with Leroy Sane where he punched him in the face.
Today, he is playing for Saudi Arabia side, Al Nassr whilst Salah went on to be come on of English Premier league legends.
