James Maddison won't play the rest of the matches because of a knee injury
Tottenham Hotspur are struggling when it comes to injuries. Almost all their players are injured and comes from injury. But, as James has been ruled out for the rest of the season, they will struggle to win the Europa league because he provided about 12 goals and gave 10 assists.
He got the injury in the first leg of their Europa League semi final against Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt.
The club, who are still chasing silverware in Europe, are having injuries. And also, for Maddison himself, who has been in a good form this season.
With 22 goals involvements across all the competitions, Maddison has played a great role in Tottenham’s attacking. He is creative and leads the Tottenham team well. As he is not in the squad now, it leaves a gap in Spurs lineup as they prepare for the second leg of their Europa League semi final and look to secure European qualification in the Premier League using the Europa league trophy if only they win it.
Ange Postecoglou who is Tottenham’s manager said his disappointment, saying that,
"James has been a big part of what we've built this season. Losing him at such a critical stage is tough, but we'll rally around and look to finish strong."
If Tottenham don't win the Uefa Europa League they won't play in Europe next season but rather play domestic cups including, the Fa Cup, EFL cup and the Premier League itself. Tottenham need more players too and the transfer window will open in next summer.
