The five defenders Real Madrid would want to sign next summer
Spanish Giants, Real Madrid are struggling in their defence due to injuries and some players not being consistent. Madrid have the best attack in world football in the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinícius Jr, Rodrygo Goes, and Jude Bellingham.
They still have one of the best Midfielders in the world including, Fede Valverde, Luka Modrić, Tchouameni Aurilien, Camavinga and Arda Guler.
But, when it comes to their defence, although they have the likes of Rudiger, Militao, Alaba, Mendy and Carvajal but yet still they concede a lot of goals and due to injuries, they lack quality at the back.
Real Madrid are looking into the market to bring in new defenders and here are the top 5 defenders they are interested in signing to replace other defenders.
1. Trent Alexander-Arnold
Arnold just won the English Premier League title with Liverpool and he is a local lad which means that, most local lads have to be faithful to their clubs but as Real Madrid comes in to sign him for free, and also being their top target, it is left with LFC boss Arne Slot and the board to decide if he will leave or stay at Liverpool to continue playing for his boyhood club.
2. William Saliba
Saliba is having a bad season with Arsenal after being there for 5 seasons without winning a major trophy which has brought debates about him leaving to Madrid despite not having a wonderful season at Arsenal .
3. Theo Hernández
Hernández who plays for AC Milan is on the list of Real Madrid left backs to replace Marcelo. He is one of the best full backs in the world and arguably the best in Italy.
4. Jonathan Tah
Tah who plays for Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen, who helped his side to win the 2023/24 Bundesliga title with the help of former Real Madrid legend, Xabi Alonso who is now in talks to sign for Madrid replacing Carlo Ancelotti coming next season.
5. Dean Huijsen
Huijsen who plays for Bournemouth is on the list of real Madrid players to replace Militao despite he being linked to Liverpool. He helped his side to defeat Arsenal this weekend.
