Real Madrid are expected to part ways with long-time coach Carlo Ancelotti following a series of defeats this season, including a disgraceful 5-1 loss to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. Additionally, the team has failed to win any of the El Clásico matches played so far.
Ancelotti is under contract with Madrid until December 2026. According to renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ancelotti was expected to take over as the new coach of Brazil, with an agreement in principle. However, the deal fell through after Ancelotti demanded a "compensation fee" from Real Madrid, and the club refused to pay, instead asking him to leave for free.
Many Real Madrid fans are upset, asking why club president Florentino Pérez won’t just pay the fee to get rid of Ancelotti. Some are even wondering if Real Madrid is in financial trouble.
