Liverpool are one point away from winning the Premier League for the second time in five seasons

after coming back from two goals down to draw with second-place Arsenal. Arne Slot's team, which leads Arsenal by 12 points, would now be able to clinch their 20th league title, equaling Manchester United's record, with a draw at Anfield on Sunday (16:30 BST). Both Arsenal and Palace's main focus is on their cup exploits, with the Gunners in the Champions League semi-finals and the Eagles at the same stage in the FA Cup - and both managers rested key players.

At Emirates Stadium, Arsenal took an early lead when center back Jakub Kiwior beat Dean Henderson with an excellent header in the third minute from a Martin Odegaard free kick. Palace looked dangerous on the attack but vulnerable at the back, and Oliver Glasner's side equalised through a cleverly worked set-piece in the 27th minute.

Eberechi Eze volleyed his shot into the ground after Adam Wharton clipped the ball to the edge of the area. The ball hit the post before entering the net. When Leandro Trossard took a pass from Jurrien Timber and fired into the bottom right corner just before halftime, Arsenal took the lead. The Eagles kept trying to get back into the game and had some good chances with Justin Devenny and Ismaila Sarr's headers, but neither of them could make a good contact with the ball. Substitute Jean-Philippe Mateta, who received the ball from William Saliba with a terrible loose pass 25 yards out, scored Palace's second goal with an excellent chipped finish that beat Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya. Gunners fans will be concerned by the absence of Ben White and Mikel Merino from the squad, with boss Mikel Arteta declining to comment on what their injuries were.

When asked if they would be fit to face PSG on Tuesday, Arteta said: "We will have to wait and see as they were not able to be in the squad here."
